Training - Nov 2, 2023

I’ve joined a gym. As part of this I get access to three free training sessions. The first was a chat. Today the real work begins.

I’ve put and Ease Off on an hour and half before and a Personal Glucose Target of 9.0mmols.

My blood sugars are 14mmol when I start but I have a bad feeling. Even with the Ease Off, I can see the insulin glut around 4pm. The gym session starts at 6pm, two hours after the insulin peaks.

I’m already drinking apple juice before we start on the Rowing Machine.

Then I’m drinking Coke on the Bike.

I think maybe I should give up, but I persevere and end the session verging on hypo, and proud of my resilience.

Learnings for next time:

-          Low carb for lunch to stop the high and automatic insulin delivery

-          Ease Off two hours before, not 1.5 hours
